Dance Festival

It was the dance festival at the kids' school. The theme was "Through the ages" Trey danced to "Rockin Robin, Tyge did Michael Jackson's thriller, and Tade danced the "Boot scoot'in boogie. It was fun and quick. They all did a great job! It is hard to believe that there is only two weeks of school left.

Mother's Day. I am not really a fan.
We are lightly celebrating the fact that Trex is potty trained. At least when he feels like it. He actually is doing really well, he just gets busy.
As Aaron pointed out on the last blog entry, I certified to teach level one yoga. It was really fun. I haven't been that challenge in years, both physically and mentally. I am going back the first week end in June to get my level two certification. Since YogaFit (the company I certified with) requires community hours, I am going to start an enrichment group and teach a couple of classes a week. I hope it will good for me :)
The boys have been using their bug nets out back. They really have a good time chasing the moths, butterflies and other creep, crawly things. I don't think we are going to get the yard down this year. BUMMER. Aaron is slowly moving the dirt mounds out front to their proper places. We are going to need more dirt. We have already bought seven dump truck loads.
Aaron is feeding the kids tonight. The delicacy is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. What a talent. Thanks babe...At least I didn't have to come up with the menu!

The boys thought they would go hiking while Mom was away at Yoga training. The day was nice with some overcast and we had a full backpack. The only problem...we didn't know where the trailhead is located. We wanted to hike to the G on the mountain in Pleasant Grove. The first try took us to Grove Creek which got everyone excited to do more. The second try was very close to the trialhead (15 feet or so makes a BIG difference). The third time we saw some people on the trail. We had just enough time to make it to the top and back for dinner. The most entertaining part had to be watching Trex, who has a bit of a waddle to his walk, moving up the hill so fast that the teenagers ahead of us were embarassed that we kept catching up to them. They gave him a standing ovation when he reached the G.
Graffiti is still fascinating at this age I guess. They loved the view and asked a lot of interesting questions - little geographers! Just what their Dad ordered, hooray!
They ate all the food and drank all the water - you'd think they would share some with their dad who packed it up there! After 4 hours of hiking there was definitely some fatigue.
Mesha was happy she went to the Yoga training. She said it forced her to go outside her comfort zone and was grounds for a long hot bath when she got back Saturday evening. Aaron was just jealous he didn't get to go eat at The Wild Oat for lunch! ;-)
